Indoor skimmer

Internal skimmers must be installed inside a filter sump. There are two types: models with an internal pump (Skimmer series) and models with an external pump (Black Edition series).

Differences and safety

  • Skimmer series: Small footprint. The skimmer can be dismantled without tools for cleaning the pump. Up to and including the 3000 series, the skimmers have an emergency overflow that prevents boiling over when the water level changes and also have a hollow chamber base as the lowest water return to prevent air bubbles entering the aquarium.
  • Black Edition series: Compared to the Skimmer series, it requires a larger footprint for comparable performance. The external pump can be easily removed without having to take the skimmer out of the water. All models have an emergency overflow that prevents boiling over when the water level changes. Its design ensures that the air bubbles remain in contact with the water for a very long time.
  • Safety: Since internal skimmers are located in the water, there is no risk of water damage due to leaks or overflowing water.
  • No additional piping: Unlike external skimmers, the water is sucked directly into the filter tank and discharged again. A feed pump is not required.
