Hang-ON skimmer
Hang-on skimmers are special protein skimmers for saltwater aquariums which, depending on the model, are hung directly on the inside (MC series) or outside edge (MCE series) of the aquarium.
The most important features
- Space-saving design: You do not need a separate technical tank under the aquarium. All the technical equipment is located in a housing.
- No piping required: Unlike traditional skimmers, no complex pipe systems need to be installed.
- Quick retrofitting: They are the ideal solution for existing freshwater aquariums that are being converted to saltwater or for aquariums that were not designed with a technical tank.
- Installation: The devices are designed as a Plug-and-Play solution – simply hook them in, adjust the water level and switch them on.
- Easier maintenance: The foam cup is usually very easy to reach and clean, as it is not hidden deep in the base cabinet or behind reef structures.
