External skimmer
TC series external skimmers are designed for operation outside the water circuit but can also be installed inside the filter tank.
The most important features
- Independence from water level: Unlike internal skimmers, they operate in a closed housing. Fluctuations in the technical tank (e.g. due to evaporation) do not affect foam formation, ensuring extremely consistent performance.
- Ease of maintenance: The pumps are installed externally on the skimmer, making them easier to access for cleaning than the more compact internal skimmers.
- Piping: External skimmers must be piped, even when operating in filter sump. Inlet: A feed pump in the technical tank pushes the water through a hose or PVC pipe into the skimmer. Return: The water flows back into the technical tank through a pipe without pressure. Important: The outlet must be above the water level of the tank to prevent backflow.
